Our Publishing Model
At VoyGull, we operate on the fundamental belief that financial status should never determine access to knowledge. In an academic landscape often dominated by high subscription fees and exclusionary paywalls, we are committed to a sustainable, ethics-driven publishing model that prioritizes the global dissemination of research over profit margins.
To make this vision a reality, we have adopted a Diamond Open Access standard for all our digital publications. This means that our journals, policy reports, and monographs are 100% free to read for the public and completely free to publish for authors. We do not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs), ensuring that scholars from low-resource institutions and emerging regions can participate fully in the global academic conversation without financial barriers.
We extend this commitment to our institutional partners as well. We partner with institutions to launch and manage new titles at extremely low cost. We provide our publishing infrastructure and support, empowering academic communities to reclaim control over their scholarship without the burden of heavy administrative costs.
While our digital editions remain open to all, we recognize the enduring value of physical media for libraries and collectors. For those who prefer a tangible volume, we offer high-quality printed editions of our books and journals. Consistent with our mission, these are sold strictly at cost—covering only the necessary printing and logistics expenses—to ensure that every format we produce remains as accessible and equitable as possible.
